Weasel Alley 1 was the next logical step after Erasmus--
We were becoming much better musicians and were
getting quite serious about our musical aspirations.  Eric,
Terry and I decided we needed a "front man" - and Terry
recommended Andy Gregorovic--someone he had played
with years before in Mansfield--a Peterboro band that
used to play at the Celeste Coffee House with us
sometimes in Lindsay.  Andy was a good guy and lots of
fun with a "John Kay" type of growly voice.  We started
the band in April 1973 and did our usual "two months in
the basement routine to get our act together.  We had
planned to all move into a cottage together for the
summer to hone our chops and then hit the gigs in the
fall.  Well...good intentions are always just that...by June
1973 we had broken up (I don't remember what the hell
happened--I think Eric had decided to go to University in
the fall), and Andy left.  Eric and I carried on through the
summer with a number of gigs with Mike McCarty and
Terry Beauclerc as a three piece.  This is when I started
to really focus on the Mongoose projects a lot more with
Mike, Rob Broom and others.

Weasel Alley (the sequel) came later in the year--October
1973….

Weasel Alley 2--In September 1973 I was approached by Peter Huron (then Student Council President)
to do a gig at the High School (LCVI) for the fall launch of events.  Within a week, I had gathered Mike
McCarty, Jim Patterson & Kim Freeborn together and revived the Weasel Alley name (I've never been
one to waste a good name) and we did a few gigs throughout the fall of 1974.  It was a lot of
experiemental rock mixed with some oldies--great fun….Kim decided he wasn't going to be guitar
player anymore (he was learning violin) and left the band.  I focused on the Mongoose projects and
Nodd for the next few months.
